I'm Ashleigh Blumthal
Below you'll see examples of my work over the last 6 years, as a freelance creative and as Marketing and Creative Manager at Engagement Multiplier.
As the Marketing and Creative Manager for a SaaS startup, my responsibilities went far beyond usual tasks for the specific job title. It was my responsibility to not only oversee all marketing initiatives, but determine how to achieve our marketing goals with creative support. It was then my job to create and manage the content myself. Reoccurring initiatives included weekly email marketing campaigns, monthly newsletters, blog, social media, website and CMS management, paid media, and more. The graphic design and much of the copywriting were also part of my role.
On the freelance side, my focus has been helping clients with branding, social media auditing + consulting, and organic marketing.
In May 2016, I launched The Engagement Multiplier Blog. Until I left the company in May 2020, I was solely responsible for all aspects of The Engagement Multiplier Blog, other than the final copywriting. Content strategy, topic creation, blog management, design, social sharing, SEO, and more.
Today, the blog continues to drive an average of 84% of traffic to Engagement Multiplier marketing site and was rated #9 on Feedspot’s Best Employee Engagement Blogs and Websites in 2019.
Engagement Multiplier's Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles launched in 2015. From that point until I left the company in May 2020, I developed a healthy social following and reputation from scratch. I was tasked with handling everything related to their social media presence, as well as creating all of its content (visual and copy) and engaging with our audience.
Between Spring 2016 and Fall 2018, The Monthly Multiplier™ went out mid-month to keep our clients, leads, subscribers, etc., up-to-date on things happening with Engagement Multiplier. It was my responsibility to write most of the copy for the 7 sections, as well as designing both US and UK versions of the PDF and landing pages. I was also responsible for creating any graphics/images needed for the PDF or landing pages, and managing the email send.
Design is a huge part of my professional experience, freelance and full-time work.
As Marketing and Creative Manager over the last 5 years, I created and designed almost every visual. I’ve created hundreds of marketing/sales and client collateral (print + digital), website and social graphics, presentations, flyers, guides, trade show and display signage, advertisements, and more. I also designed marketing emails, business cards, and web pages.
Examples of graphic and collateral design below. As a professional photographer, I also photographed and edited everything below.
The minor I received in Film Production from The University of Iowa allowed me to step into roles involving the production, direction, and editing in my professional life.
Over my 5 years as Marketing and Creative Manager, I was responsible for everything video. This included all pre and post-production tasks, which involved deciding upon content to be filmed, directing the production, content strategy, management, distribution (mostly social channels) and, more often than not, editing video. It was also my responsibility to manage anything to do with additional visual content we outsourced to be created, and manage all distribution and strategy around sharing the video content.
For freelance, I’ve edited shorted videos for social platforms, YouTube, and more.
